Marelda Kelly

Marelda has a love of organising history and enabling voices of the past to be heard into the future.

During a Graduate Diploma in Records Management and Archives Marelda commenced employment as Assistant Archivist to Sr Albeus Fahey and founded the Archive of the Presentation Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Mosman Park.

Marelda later established the Iona Presentation College Archives.

Since then Marelda has been employed as a University Archivist and tutor (ECU), recordkeeping advisor and consultant, and archive officer with the State Records Office of Western Australia.

Marelda has also worked as an Historian with the State Solicitor’s Office.

As a private archives consultant Marelda has worked on indigenous family history, business histories and for the Miriam Stannage Collection. Most recently Marelda completed a two year period at the Iona Presentation Archives and Heritage Centre and continues as a sessional tutor at Curtin University.

Since joining the Museum of Perth Marelda has been working with the RAC WA on their archives and heritage collection.
